The Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC) and Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) (through its Department of Law and Business) are proud to co-organise the Mediation Workshop for Youth 2026—a full day experiential programme for secondary students to understand practical mediation and communication skills.

Programme highlights
Throughout the day, students will:
đŦ Explore the fundamentals of mediation
đ Engage in demonstrations & real life roleplay
đ§ Practise communication, empathy and negotiation skills
đ Compete for recognition in skill based categories — including Best Summary, Best Active Listening, Best Rapport Building & more
The workshop supports FDRC’s mission to deepen public understanding of mediation and arbitration, and to highlight the role of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in resolving financial disputes. This workshop also forms part of HKSYU’s 55th Anniversary Community Service Project Series, under the theme “Young Mediators in Practice: Building Dialogue, Resolving Conflict. Together with the Department of Law and Business of HKSYU, we aim to encourage young people to approach differences through dialogue and constructive problem-solving.
