PR and Event Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement communications plan and strategy
- To plan, organize and conduct briefings, seminars, training and promotional activities for the financial institutions, industry associations and the public
- To liaise with stakeholders, government bodies and industry associations, etc. on FDRC services and activities
- To prepare press releases, handle media enquiries and develop media relationships
- To coordinate the production of corporate or promotional materials, such as annual reports, brochures, website content and social media, and to liaise with advertising agencies
- To conduct research and undertake ad hoc projects and duties as assigned
- To prepare regular management reports on communications plans, events and activities, etc.
Experience and Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Law, languages or other disciplines
- At least 5 years’ working experience in PR, event management, or corporate communications; social media and website management experience will be a strong advantage
- Strong command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage).
- Good analytical, presentation, interpersonal and communications skills with pleasant and mature characters with a can do attitude
- Ability to cope with pressure, tight deadlines and multi-tasks working environment
- Proficiency in PC skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing (Knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator is an advantage)
Terms of employment
- Two-year (24 months) contract (renewable subject to FDRC’s operational needs)
- Performance-related year-end bonus
- 5 days week
- Leave and medical benefits
- May be required to work overtime on working days and occasionally on holidays for events and meeting deadlines as necessary
