Public Relations and Communications Officer

Job Description

    • To assist in liaison with stakeholders, communications with vendors, and event planning and management
    • To assist in copywriting and content creation for public relations projects and campaigns
    • To carry out market research and analysis
    • To provide administrative support
    • To undertake any other duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements

  • Degree in Communication or a related discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, with due execution of instructions and a sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written Cantonese, English and Putonghua.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop/ AI/ Illustrator is a plus.
  • Candidates with high potential and less experience will be considered for the Executive role.

Dispute Resolution Manager/ Assistant Dispute Resolution Manager

Job Highlights

Job Description

    • To lead, manage and supervise the dispute resolution department in the administration of an accessible, efficient and transparent scheme whereby independent and impartial mediators and arbitrators provide mediation and arbitration services to financial institutions and their customers in the Hong Kong SAR (the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme).
    • To prepare agendas and papers, and provide secretarial support, for board and committee meetings.
    • To explain the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme at external meetings, events, and training.
    • To assist in the complaint handling procedure against listed mediators and arbitrators.
    • To undertake any other duties as instructed by the CEO.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • University degree in law and/ or alternative dispute resolution.
  • Professional experience in management, mediation and/or arbitration.
  • A proactive, responsible, problem-solving, and honest work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, management, organisational, presentation and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.

Company overview

The Financial Dispute Resolution Centre is a non-profit making organisation. The Centre is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes representatives from Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and the Securities and Futures Commission. It administers a scheme that provides mediation and arbitration services to resolve financial disputes of monetary nature. It actively raises awareness of the availability and scope of its services, with an aim to reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as an international financial centre.
