What is “Mediate First” Pledge

  • Mediation allows disputants to resolve conflicts in amicable and constructive ways. During mediation, impartial mediators assist disputants to reach mutually acceptable settlements while controlling risks, costs and time.
  • The “Mediate First” Pledge is a non-legally binding commitment by pledgees to use mediation first to resolve disputes before resorting to other means of dispute resolution, such as court litigation.
  • By now, over 470 companies, organizations and associations have signed the Pledge.

 

What is “Mediate First” Pledge 2019

  • The “Mediate First” Pledge 2019 (Event) is a full-day event which includes a mediation Forum and a “Mediate First” Pledge Reception. See the draft Programme attached.
  • Highlights of the Reception include the ceremonial signing of the “Mediate First” Pledge by new pledgees and the Star Logo Award presentation ceremony.
