He is a practicing barrister and arbitrator with extensive experience in a wide range of civil disputes in litigation and arbitration. He has been a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators since 2014. He is currently an arbitrator of Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), HKIAC’s Domain Name Dispute Resolution, Hong Kong Bar Association (HKBA), Nanjing Arbitration Commission, eBRAM and Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC). He is also an accredited family and general mediator, and also teaches mediation or negotiation related courses at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), City University of Hong Kong (CityU), HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education, etc. He also serves as an assessor of Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association for general mediators’ accreditation. In 2018, he coached a team of CityU law students, which was crowned the champion at the International Mediation Competition of the International Chamber of Commerce held in Hong Kong, and then he brought the team to compete in the sister Competition in Paris in 2019 with its first appearance being distinctively recognized.
He now serves on the Steering Committee on Mediation set up by HK’s Secretary for Justice, Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Professional Services Advisory Committee, FDRC’s Appointment Committee and Joint Mediation Helpline Office. And, he is currently Vice Chair of HKBA’s Mediation Committee, and is also a past Chairman of Hong Kong Mediation Council of HKIAC. Since 2021, he has been appointed as Deputy Registrar for Case Settlement Conference, where he facilitates settlement of disputes in the court room.
