Mr. Paul Yeung joined the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in 2005 and currently holds the position of Commission Secretary and Chief Governance Officer. He serves as secretary to the SFC’s Board, and oversees the SFC’s corporate governance and external functions. He has previously worked in the Corporate Finance Division and the Investment Products Division.
Mr. Yeung is a lawyer by training and qualified as a solicitor in the Hong Kong SAR as well as England and Wales. Prior to joining the SFC, he practiced as a solicitor in Hong Kong specializing on insolvency, restructuring and corporate commercial matters.
He read law at Churchill College, University of Cambridge, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and economies from Brown University.
He is currently a board member of the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre, and a fellow of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute, where he serves as a member of the Professional Development Committee.
